Recognizing Negative Patterns of Thought - The Transformative Power of Meditation

When we experience stress and tension in our lives, it’s easy to feel emotionally overwhelmed or powerless; In Buddhism, these painful emotions are known as ‘delusions’, unreliable states of mind, guaranteed to create unhappiness for yourself and others. Buddha taught clear methods – based in meditation – for recognizing these delusions and transforming them into healthier, reality-based states of mind. These are essential tools in a world where we cannot always control what happens, whether that’s with personal struggles or the uncertain times we live in. By applying these methods and dismantling our painful states of mind, we can remain peaceful and effective in even the most difficult situations.
