Meditation Retreat + Brunch: Finding Peace and Power in the Present Moment
with Edwin Tubb
About This Event
The focus of the retreat is on how to let go of anxiety.
Anxiety turns our own mind into an enemy. It distorts our perception, exaggerates the negative, and disempowers us from within. When we’re caught up in worry, painful thoughts and feelings can easily ‘go viral’ - leading to the sense that we’re inherently stuck and limited.
But it doesn’t have to be this way.
According to Buddhist psychology, anxiety is just a bad mental habit - one we can learn to step out of by learning new ways of thinking. In particular, we can discover the peace - and the power - that comes from fully inhabiting the present moment. Through meditation, we learn to reclaim our attention and to let go of the storylines, memories, and fears that keep robbing us of our peace and power right now.
Come along to discover the power of a peaceful mind, and how the present moment of your life is a wonderful place to be.
Everyone is welcome - beginners and experienced practitioners!
